From the Cockpit to the Stock Market
I am Ardan Kumar and my journey to trading education is anything but ordinary.
For eight years, I served in the Indian Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. I worked on Mi-17 helicopters, analysed Black Box flight data, managed logistics for COVID-19 relief missions and flood rescue operations in Assam, and earned special service medals for my contribution to Operation Rhino in the Mizo and Naga Hills. I have stood in the same room as the Prime Minister of India during high-priority missions.
None of that prepared me for the stock market.
The Lesson That Changed Everything
When I first entered the markets, I made every mistake a new trader makes. I traded without a plan. I ignored risk management. I let fear and greed make my decisions. I watched money I had earned through years of discipline in uniform disappear in weeks of undisciplined trading.
That experience; painful as it was; became the foundation of everything AKTV stands for today.
I went back to the basics. I pursued an MBA in Marketing and Finance from CRSU Jind, where I topped the course. I cleared the UGC-NET in Management. I studied markets the way I had studied aircraft maintenance systematically, rigorously, without shortcuts. I co-founded One Percent Capital LLC in Texas, USA, where I applied these learnings to real portfolio management.
And then I started teaching.
Why AKTV Exists
Most trading education in India is either too expensive, too complicated, or simply wrong. Retail traders, especially those from smaller cities and towns, are entering markets with no real knowledge and losing their savings to mistakes that could have been avoided.
I built AKTV because I have been that trader. I know what it feels like to lose money you cannot afford to lose. I know the panic of watching a position go against you with no stop loss in place. I know the frustration of getting a signal too late.
Today AKTV has grown to 25,000 subscribers on YouTube, a community of serious Indian retail traders learning together. मैं हूँ अर्दन कुमार और trading education तक पहुँचने का मेरा सफर बिल्कुल आम नहीं है।
आठ साल तक मैंने Indian Air Force में Aircraft Maintenance Engineer के तौर पर सेवा की। Mi-17 helicopter पर काम किया, Black Box का flight data analyze किया, COVID-19 relief mission और असम बाढ़ राहत operation में logistics manage किया। मिजो और नागा हिल्स में Operation Rhino में योगदान के लिए special service medal प्राप्त किए। High-priority missions के दौरान भारत के प्रधानमंत्री के साथ एक ही कमरे में खड़ा रहा।
लेकिन इनमें से कुछ भी मुझे stock market के लिए तैयार नहीं कर पाया।
वो सबक जिसने सब बदल दिया
जब मैं पहली बार market में आया, मैंने वो सारी गलतियाँ कीं जो एक नया trader करता है। बिना plan के trade किया। Risk management को नज़रअंदाज़ किया। डर और लालच को अपने फैसले करने दिए। वर्दी में बरसों की मेहनत से कमाया पैसा हफ्तों की बेतरतीब trading में गंवा दिया।
वो तजुर्बा चाहे जितना तकलीफदेह था, आज AKTV की नींव है।
मैं वापस basics पर आया। CRSU जींद से MBA (Marketing & Finance) किया, course में top किया। UGC-NET Management clear किया। Market को उसी तरह पढ़ा जैसे कभी aircraft maintenance पढ़ी थी: systematically, बिना shortcut के। Texas, USA में One Percent Capital LLC की co-founding की और असली portfolio management में इन learnings को लागू किया।
और फिर मैंने पढ़ाना शुरू किया।
AKTV क्यों बनाया
भारत में ज़्यादातर trading education या तो बहुत महँगी है, या बहुत उलझी हुई, या सीधे-सीधे गलत है। Retail traders; खासकर छोटे शहरों और कस्बों से; बिना किसी असली जानकारी के market में आ रहे हैं और उन गलतियों से अपनी बचत गंवा रहे हैं जिनसे बचा जा सकता था।
मैंने AKTV इसलिए बनाया क्योंकि मैं खुद वो trader रह चुका हूँ। मुझे पता है वो दर्द क्या होता है जब आप वो पैसा खोते हैं जो आप खो नहीं सकते थे। मुझे पता है position के against जाने पर बिना stop loss के वो panic कैसा लगता है।
